The Escondido High School Golden Reunion is an annual event for former EHS students who have been out of high school for 50 years or more — thus the nickname “50+.” Hundreds of EHS 50+ graduates celebrate together in May every year featuring the only event of its kind in Southern California.
The 2024 Golden Reunion was highly successful with hundreds of alumni in attendance. Our next event will be May 17, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM and will be held again at Escondido High School! More parking, more room, nicer facilities, and best of all, that feeling of being at home makes it an easy choice to bring the Golden Reunion back to the hallowed grounds of EHS. The old Memorial Field is now Wilson Stadium, Home of Chick Embrey Field; you won't believe how beautiful it has become. Help us celebrate the "Cougar Cub" class of 1975!
To carry on the cherished values and traditions of EHS Athletics into the future, the Cougar Athletic Club established an endowed scholarship fund named for legendary EHS Coaches Robert “Chick” Embrey and Marilyn Shriver.
Each year, an outstanding male and a female Senior student/athlete will each be awarded a $2,000 scholarship to provide financial aid for college. The awards are given in recognition of their commitment to exemplify the words from the EHS Alma Mater: “Loyal, Strong, and True”
The Cougar Alumni Club Golf Tournament for 2024 is coming soon! Funds raised at these events provide primary funding for our CAC Scholarships given to graduating Cougar students at the end of each year.
